In today’s podcast we will learn how to use meditation to help combat negativity in our lives. Negativity can come from anywhere - the workplace; our loved ones; or even strangers - but how do we deal with this negativity?
Most of us don’t really know how to deal with negativity - either we suffer it, take it personally - or, we pass it on to someone else, which can easily transpire into a vicious cycle.
This is where meditation comes in. How do we transform the negativity that we receive from others into something that is positive?
I will guide you through three main steps throughout this meditation:
- We will become more aware of our feelings: in our body, mind and inner space.
- We will bring awareness to our solar plexus (the manipura chakra), above our navel and below our ribcage. This is the energy centre where you absorb negativity, where you feel hurt and the area that breaks you and your confidence down.
- Then, we will sit in silence for 10-15 minutes.
